In December 1990 public parent organization “Deti v bede” (lateron, “Children in Trouble”) was founded  at the first clinical hospital of Minsk on initiative of O. Aleinikova (head of oncohematologic department) with the participation of doctor H.. At that time “Children in Trouble” united 15 parents, today there are over 5000 families.

“Children in Trouble” is the organization of social utility that doesn’t receive state financing and functions only thanks to donations. “Children in Trouble” closely collaborates with Republic scientific practical centre of children oncology and hematology (“lateron, “oncocentre”) and other children medical establishments of Belarus.

“Children in Trouble” is managed by parents’ committee consisting of parents of ill children and a doctor specialist in children oncology. Office carries out daily work.

Our partners are foreign charitable organizations in Germany, Holland, Great Britain, Italy and Austria, as well as individuals. Thanks to their great help we managed to realize numerous common projects.

In  1998 together with German partners we built and put into exploitation department of rehabilitation for children suffering from cancer at Republican children hospital of medical rehabilitation “Ostroshitsky gorodok”. In 2001 department of rehabilitation of teenagers suffering from cancer was created at Republican hospital of medical rehabilitation “Aksakovschina”.
