Work with parents

There’s nothing worse for parents than seeing their children seriously ill. Many parents panic, feel lost and helpless. We constantly visit oncocentre, meet families, trying to support and cheer them up, help them believe in positive outcome of treatment. Not all the parents are aware of their rights and privileges according to Belarusian legislation, that is why it’s a part of our job to provide them with juridical consultations.

“Children in Trouble” organizes meetings of our partners and patients of oncocentre with their families on a regular basis. For foreign partners it’s an opportunity to find out the current needs of oncocentre, talk to ill children and their parents, see the results of their help and realize how great their impact is.

Annually we have event “Ulybka” (“Smile”) for families with children suffering from cancer from Minsk and Minsk region. Usually we organize a concert, children receive a lot of pleasure and presents. For those families whose children managed to recover, it’s an opportunity to celebrate once again their success and support those who are going through treatment. Also we invite our foreign partners, representatives of state establishments, media and those who are simply not indifferent.
Today we have 15 regional departments of “Children in Trouble”. That allows us to provide help to families all over Belarus, as not all of them can come to Minsk. We arrange meetings, events, provide support to those families.
